From there, move to the apple and kiwi orchards of Dirang, dotted with hot springs and sacred monasteries. The journey ascends into the misty mountains of Tawang, nestled at 10,000 feet, where you'll explore the iconic Tawang Monastery, serene high-altitude lakes like Shonga-tser (Madhuri Lake), and the dramatic Bumla Pass on the Indo-China border.

YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Bhalukpong, a serene town on the Assam-Arunachal border. Check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

After breakfast, drive to Dirang. Enroute, visit the famous Tipi Orchidarium, home to over 500 orchid species. Also stop by the Nag Temple and enjoy scenic views of waterfalls and valleys. In Dirang, explore apple and kiwi orchards (seasonal), Dirang Monastery, and Kalachakra Monastery. Overnight stay at Dirang.

Drive to Tawang, the "Land of the Hidden Paradise". Enroute visit the majestic Sela Pass (13,700 ft), frozen Sela Lake, and the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Witness the beautiful Nuranang Falls before reaching Tawang. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Visit the renowned Tawang Monastery, housing ancient scriptures and a grand Buddha statue. Explore Urgelling Gompa, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, and pay respects at the Tawang War Memorial. Shop for local handicrafts at the Craft Centre. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Take a thrilling drive to Shonga-tser (Madhuri) Lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Continue to the high-altitude Bumla Pass (15,200 ft) on the Indo-China border. On the way back, stop at the scenic PTSO Lake. Return to Tawang for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Bomdila, known for its monasteries and panoramic Himalayan views. Visit Upper & Lower Gonpa, and explore the local market. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

Long scenic drive back to Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Check into your hotel. Rest and relax. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Explore Guwahati’s cultural and spiritual gems: Kamakhya Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, State Zoo, Assam Museum, and Sukreswar Temple. In the evening, enjoy a Brahmaputra River Sunset Cruise (optional, direct payment). Overnight stay at Guwahati.
