YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and transfer to the scenic hill station of Shillong (4,900 ft.). En route, stop at the tranquil Umiam Lake, surrounded by lush hills. On arrival in Shillong, check into your hotel.

After an early breakfast, head to Cherrapunjee, known for its rainfall and natural wonders. Visit the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, and venture into the mystical Mawsmai Caves. Return to Shillong by evening, stopping at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for breathtaking views.

After breakfast, visit the enriching Don Bosco Museum and the picturesque Ward’s Lake. Later, drive to Kaziranga National Park, famous for the endangered One-Horned Rhinoceros. On arrival, check in and relax at the hotel.

tart your day with an early morning elephant safari in one of Kaziranga’s zones. Apart from rhinos, you may spot wild buffaloes, swamp deer, hog deer, and if lucky, a tiger. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with pelicans, storks, and darters. Return for breakfast and relax. In the afternoon, enjoy an adventurous jeep safari through another zone of the park.

Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple (timing: 8 AM to 1 PM & 3 PM till dusk), Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, and Sukreswar Temple – one of the oldest Shiva shrines. Also visit Assam State Museum (closed Mondays), the State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, and the Regional Science Centre.
