Welcome to Guwahati! Upon arrival, begin your scenic drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake (Barapani) – perfect for photos and optional water sports.

Arrive in Shillong and check into your hotel. Evening free to explore Police Bazaar, the bustling local market.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast, head to Laitlum Canyons, a photographer’s paradise with sweeping panoramic views of green valleys. Then continue to the breathtaking Krang Suri Waterfalls, known for its turquoise waters and natural swimming pool. You can even walk behind the cascading falls!
Return to Shillong in the evening.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Today, explore Mawsynram, one of the wettest places on Earth, famous for its caves and misty atmosphere. Visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove, an ancient forest protected by tribal traditions, where nothing can be removed—not even a leaf. Also visit the Khasi Model Village to experience traditional Khasi life.

Later, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for sunset views.

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, crowned as Asia’s Cleanest Village. Explore the serene surroundings, the unique Balancing Rock, and a charming Living Root Bridge.

Then proceed to Dawki, located near the Indo-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River – you can see the riverbed through the water!
Evening drive to Cherrapunjee and check in.

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Later, visit:

  • GTAC Tea Lounge – taste and shop for world-famous Assam Tea including Muga Silk, CTC, Orthodox, and Green teas

Evening: Opt for a sunset river cruise on the Brahmaputra (direct payment) or explore local markets for Assam silk, bamboo, and cane crafts.

After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, a Shakti Peetha and revered pilgrimage site (Timing: 8 AM–1 PM & 3 PM till dusk).

Post darshan, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
